Kirkwood is one of the lesser known resorts in the Lake Tahoe area, often overlooked in favor of the larger resorts like Heavenly. However, with over 2300 skiable inbound acreage with 65 runs and a 2000-foot vertical, Kirkwood has its fans and pulls in visitors from all over the world. Kirkwood lodging choices range from luxury condominiums and slopeside townhomes to regular deluxe hotel rooms.

Luxury Townhomes

Kirkwood has several luxury townhomes just minutes from the lifts. Whether you’re staying at Timber Ridge, The Sentinels, or Lost Cabin, you are going to relax in comfort. Each home has a full kitchen and washer/dryer units for guest use.  The Sentinels are meadowside with a private garage and a whirlpool tub for relaxing and soaking away the aches of a long day on the slopes. Timber Ridge has 3-bedroom mountain side locations with a 2-vehicle garage and free Wi-Fi. Timber Ridge has lushly appointed rooms and sleep up to 10 people, while a 3-bedroom loft townhome sleeps up to 12 people. Lost Cabin has two and three bedroom townhomes available that are meadowside with a view of the slopes, gas fireplaces and full kitchens and dining rooms.

Luxury Condominums

There are several luxury condominiums in the area, ranging from one to three bedrooms. These units all offer full kitchens, fireplaces and access to covered parking. The Lodge is located slopeside with incredible views of the village, and wood-burning fireplaces that are great for relaxing après ski with your friends. The Lodge has one or two bedroom condos, as well as a two-bedroom loft condominium that sleep up to 9 people. Meadowstone Lodge has two and three bedroom condominiums located meadowside with great views of the slopes. The two bedroom condos have a set of bunk beds and can sleep up to six people, while the three bedroom units sleep up to 8. Snow Crest offers one bedroom loft and two bedroom condominiums that sleep up to six people. Each have underground parking access and rest right on the slopes, allowing you to relax on the deck and watch skiers zoom by.

Other Options

The Mountain Club is a hotel with condominiums as well as standard double queen, studio and studio loft hotel rooms. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. All rooms have access to the Mountain Club’s fitness club which includes a sauna, steam room, and a Jacuzzi. Additionally, rooms at the Mountain Club have access to ski lockers to store your gear when you’re not on the slopes.  All rooms except the double queen come with a gas fireplace as well as a full kitchen. Other rooms can be found at The Meadows and Sun Meadows. Queen rooms with gorgeous views of the slopes will keep you warm and comfortable when you’re done for the day at Kirkwood.
